I use two hearing aids. One, a $800 brand and the Harmony that was delivered to me last month. I can confirm that the performance between the two is very glaring. Harmony is extremely good and performs far better than the other hearing aids. Not to mention the fact that I service my more expensive hearing aids with $150 a week ago. I’m delighted with the output of my hearing aid. It was delivered to me yesterday…I only removed it when I wanted to sleep. It amazing to hear sound in another definition in twenty years. This performs better than most expensive units I’ve tried in the past. If its performance remains constant for the next three weeks, I will consider getting a second unit as backup. I enjoyed an expensive hearing aid for some years. Though I hardly use them…twice a week. Some weeks, I don’t use them. My hearing loss is mild, getting along conversation is sometimes easy. I however misplaced the hearing aid on my way to work last month. I was low on cash and couldn’t afford to buy another expensive pair. This is the second EarCentric hearing aids I’m buying on MediNinja. I loved the battery life and the voice amplification feature of the device. I placed an order for this second one last week and just like the initial one, it was delivered earlier. I save more battery life because I simply have to switch the amplifier off when I’m not using it. Three months ago, my little son flunked his hearing examination. Our doctor diagnosed him of moderate hearing aid. For the past six days, I’ve been using my Harmony hearing aid. I’m having much of what I’ve been missing. It is a pity I’ve to wait for 10 years before I can enjoy sound this much… none of the units I’ve been using works close to this one. When I bought my first hearing aid, I spent close to $1000 – which will be much more than that today. I will say I’ve never been satisfied with sound like I’m now. The volume is loud enough to make me tune my TV set down to a level my wife complains about. If she chose to increase the TV volume, I just reduce the volume of my unit. “No one lose,” I will say. Last summer, the doctor diagnosed me of Otosclerosis. It was as if there was full clog of fluid in my ear. I can’’t enjoy music. I research for solutions online and the solutions I read about the Harmony was amazing. The price wasn’t expensive and I took the risk of getting one without any hope if it will cure my ear. The positive testimonies was all I rested on. When I tried it when MEdiNinja delivered it I was on cloud 9. I enjoy the sweet high frequency music I was missing in months. It became easier watching TV, news, and football. The only problem I encountered with the product is the difficulty I had getting the setting right the first time. The ear dome options are appealing. I got some feedback but from my experience as a singer, I got to know I was using the wrong dome size. I changed it and that marked the end of the feedback. The previous hearing aid I got off auction couldn’t solve my problem when my hearing loss got worse. My friend suggested I buy one of EarCentric model and I picked Harmony. By the time I bought the Melody hearing aid, I had forgotten what it was like to hear the birds sing. When I bought them, I didn’t expect there would be anyone to help me if they didn’t work right. After a while, my right hearing aid started malfunctioning. It would randomly stop working. Touching the top of the tube would get it working again, but I wanted to stop it from malfunctioning. I adopted the ‘fire brigade approach’ when I misplaced my $5000 hearing aids. Another $5000 was out of reach at the moment and I was expecting a lesser performance from the Harmony.
